Organization of the Upbringing Process Beyond Class Hours
Upbringing work conducted at the university outside the classroom ensures the practical application of theoretical knowledge, directs it toward real-world practice, draws youth attention to acute modern social issues, and fosters their social maturity. To this end, youth are engaged in labor, patriotic, and charitable campaigns, organized tours of enterprises, tourist trips to historical sites, visits to museums, exhibitions, theatrical performances, and more.
The university operates a student club alongside various active interest-based groups, such as a photo studio, vocal studio, student theater, dance clubs, the Art-hub project, an intellectual games club, and others. Traditions have been established for holding themed leisure evenings, competitions, and the "Student Spring" amateur arts festival. The main goal is to diversify interest clubs, create conditions for youth creative development, and raise the quality of mass cultural events.
Physical upbringing is an integral component of personal culture. It takes place both during class time and during extracurricular hours. This work is regulated by the class schedule, sports section operating hours, and plans for athletic and wellness events. Continuous effort is focused on improving physical activity forms for students, expanding sports sections, and diversifying weekend sports and health-promoting activities.
Upbringing Work in Dormitories
The main goal is pedagogical guidance over student living conditions, organization of self-service, adherence to internal rules, and the creation of a favorable moral and psychological climate for comfortable living. The core directions of upbringing work are implemented in dormitories considering the specifics of daily living. Deputy deans for upbringing work, together with the campus director and dormitory managers, oversee upbringing work in dormitories with the active involvement of dormitory student councils.
Key activities include organizing competitions for the best dormitory and best room, faculty duty shifts, lectures, talks, and leisure evenings. Under current conditions, individual work by teachers and tutors in dormitories is continuously enhanced. Proper conditions are created for independent student study within dormitories, and the role of student councils in handling housing allocation, maintaining order, and enforcing internal rules is significantly emphasized. Events organizing meaningful leisure, mass sports, and wellness activities at the place of residence are actively expanded.
