Department of Distance Educational Technologies

The main tasks of the department are:

1. Ensuring high-quality and effective placement of electronic educational and methodological materials for distance learning courses in the learning management system.

2. Ensuring high-quality support for the educational process when distance learning (hereinafter - DL) is applied as a separate mode of study, or when distance educational technologies are used in the educational process for full-time and part-time students during periods and in specialties determined by the Academic Council of the University or by order of the University Rector.

3. Expanding access opportunities for students to high-quality education under relevant programs in distance learning conditions.

4. Creating additional opportunities for communication between academic, scientific, and pedagogical staff and students, as well as among students themselves, using distance educational technologies.

5. Participating in the implementation of the quality management system and continuous improvement of its effectiveness and efficiency.

6. Participating in the planning, development, and improvement of specified quality management system processes within the scope of the department's activities.

Department functions:

1. Coordinating the actions of structural units of the Center for Educational Quality Management in the educational process using distance educational technologies.

2. Assisting in conducting expert evaluations of distance learning courses and obtaining a certificate for a distance learning course as an electronic educational tool.

3. Maintaining electronic educational and methodological materials for distance learning courses, as well as placing these materials in the University's learning management system for specified specialties (educational programs) submitted by the University departments:

- methodological recommendations for their use, sequence of task execution, features of assessment, etc.;

- educational process planning documents (curricula, course schedule outlines, class schedules);

- video and audio recordings of lectures, seminars, etc.; multimedia lecture materials;

- glossaries of terminology;

- practical assignments with methodological recommendations for their execution;

- virtual laboratory works with methodological recommendations for their execution;

- virtual simulators with methodological recommendations for their use;

- sets of test tasks for assessment events, testing with automated result verification, and testing with instructor evaluation;

- business games with methodological recommendations for their use; electronic libraries or links to them, bibliographies;

- a distance learning course that combines the above-mentioned web resources of an academic discipline (program) with a unified pedagogical scenario.

4. Implementing distance learning technologies in the educational process for part-time and full-time students, as well as through distance learning as a standalone mode of study.

5. Providing access to distance learning course materials and necessary information regarding the organization of distance learning for students and instructors.
