Specialty 173 «Avionics» prepares specialists in the development, design, testing, technical operation, and maintenance of airborne electronic equipment for aircraft (airplanes, helicopters, rockets, and unmanned aerial vehicles).

Main Study Areas:

Flight and Navigation Systems: development and configuration of airborne autopilot systems, inertial and satellite (GPS/GNSS) navigation systems.

Onboard Computing Systems: development of specialized software and architecture for real-time operating system (RTOS) flight computers.

Radio-Electronic and Radar Equipment: creation of weather and airborne radar stations, radio communication, identification, and electronic warfare (EW) systems.

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS): design of flight controllers, sensor systems, communication, and control units for commercial and military UAVs.
