Specialty 132 «Materials Science» prepares specialists in the development, research, modification, and selection of materials (metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, nanomaterials) for their effective use in various industrial sectors.

Main Study Areas:

Physical Metallurgy and Heat Treatment: strengthening of metals and alloys, controlling their structure and properties.

Composite and Functional Materials: creation of nanomaterials, biocompatible, heat-resistant, and ultra-high-strength composites.

Coatings and Corrosion Protection: development of protective, wear-resistant, and functional coatings (electroplated, plasma, thermal sprayed).

Quality Control and Diagnostics: destructive and non-destructive material testing methods, microscopic and spectral analysis.
