Specialty 103 «Earth Sciences» prepares specialists in researching the structure, composition, processes, and resource base of the planet — from the depths of the Earth's crust to the hydrosphere and atmosphere.

Main Study Areas:

Geology and Geophysics: prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits (oil, gas, minerals, groundwater), analysis of seismic activity and tectonics.

Hydrology and Oceanology: assessment of water resources, quality and dynamics of surface and groundwater, monitoring of water bodies.

Meteorology and Climatology: analysis of atmospheric processes, weather forecasting, study of climate change and extreme meteorological phenomena.

GIS and Earth Remote Sensing (ERS): mapping, satellite imagery processing, creation of geographic information systems for spatial analysis.
